Redmile Church of England Primary School is a small village primary school set in an idyllic rural location in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and are overlooked by the historic Belvoir Castle.

We are situated between the towns of Nottingham, Grantham and Newark and commuters to and from London find our village a tranquil rest from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We cater for children between the ages of 4 and 11, although their families of all ages are more than welcome to visit us.

The original school was opened in 1871 with the subsequent addition of a double mobile classroom unit in July 1999 and a further single mobile in August 2001. In February 2009, our school hall was officially opened by England International Cricketer Luke Wright, a former Redmile pupil; it consists of boys and girls changing rooms, disabled facilities, wet room and a large hall for all kinds of PE and other curricular activities and family gatherings, with a lot of space to move around. In 2010, the mobile block was replaced with some beautiful new classrooms, all air-conditioned and very spacious.

Redmile Church of England Primary School is proud to serve three villages: Redmile, Barkestone le Vale and Plungar; the children from Barkestone le Vale and Plungar travel into Redmile by school bus. We are also happy to welcome pupils from out of catchment if there is a place available.

Our aim is to create a happy, secure learning environment rooted in Christian and British Values which enable all children to achieve success.

We provide an exciting curriculum which is developed with the children, to boost their confidence and promote self-esteem which enables them to achieve well academically. Exemplary behaviour of our children enables them all to learn together and have fun with their friends, whilst achieving well and making excellent progress.

We are blessed with a loyal and dedicated team of staff and governors who nurture and develop in our children the knowledge, skills and understanding of the diverse world in which they live. They work in close partnership with parents, the local community and wider partners to ensure that our children have the best opportunities possible.

We are proud of our school and community and we are pleased to share some of our work and events with you here on this website.

Please contact us if you have any other questions or comments about our school. We would be pleased to help you.
