Event - Remembrance at Redmile

11 November 2014

To mark Remembrance Day we have held lots of activities in school. We decorated our own poppies which were sent to St. Peters Church and used in the amazing display.

Poppies have been on sale, cakes were iced and then sold and the school council organised a poppy hunt! All money raised went to The Royal British Legion poppy Fund.

On Tuesday November 11th we all marched down to Church. Our M.P.’s read some prayers before we held two minutes silence at 11 o’clock. Mrs. Copeland read out an excerpt from,’For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon.

After that we went into Church to leave our poppy wreath next to the War memorial.

Making poppies for Church.
We helped each other.

Do you like my poppy?
Just need to cut them out now..

Where are they hidden?
We found some.
