Event - Year 6 Hathersage Residential

9 to 12 October 2012

From Tuesday 9th until Friday 12th October Year 6 children visited Hathersage in Derbyshire. We joined with Stathern children to take part an activity filled couple of days at St. Michael's Environmental Centre.

During the day we took part in a long walk to Stanage Edge, studied the village of Hathersage, did some orienteering, stream dipping and after all that had a World War 2 day a Crich Tramway Museum .We also were able to ride on trams and have a great Woodland Walk.

On the first evening we went for a night-walk.

On Wednesday evening we all made Ration cards, gas masks, Identity cards and gas mask carriers in preparation for our WW2 day at Crich.

On Thursday evening we had our tea at the Pool café where we played Bingo before walking back to St Michaels.

We arrived back in Stathern a bit later than planned but we had a great day and a really memorable trip.
