Class 3

Welcome to Class 3.

Welcome to Class 3.

This is our Upper Key Stage 2 class, where you will meet our wonderful children in Years 4, 5 and 6.

In Class 3, we strive to develop our children as individuals, complete with their own set of unique talents, interests and personalities, who possess a range of skills beyond the classroom.

Not only do we build upon children’s academic success, we also provide endless opportunities for children to develop their independence, confidence and responsibility.

We centralise our classroom around an aura of perseverance, respect, teamwork and trust so that our class is a happy and safe environment. You’ll often find us singing and dancing to our class song – ‘Don’t Stop Believing’!

Everyone is encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning. Our class topics are chosen with the children, and we agree personal targets together. We have Literacy and Maths lessons every day, and we use lots of personal checklists to help move our learning forwards. We also love to use our new iPads and laptops to support our learning.

We have various opportunities throughout the year to work with visitors to further develop our learning, including the D.A.R.E. programme (Drugs Awareness and Resistance Education), specialist music lessons and visits to the Warning Zone in Leicester to understand more about health and safety.

We are very proud of our music, dance and sports! As the oldest children in the school, we are often given the privilege of representing our school in tournaments around the Vale (and beyond!) Please have a look at our curriculum pages to find out more about these. Everybody in Class 3 really does shine with their unique set of talents and strengths, and we are so very proud of each and every one of them!

In Class 3, as we prepare our young individuals for the next stages of their journey, we endeavour to create memories which will guide and support them through life and can be treasured forever.
